                 Business Terms And Conditions  

  1. All material(s) supplied are fully owned by Davis Electrical until all invoice(s) are paid in full, even after installation.

  2. Estimates are not fixed quotes and can vary, estimates are approximate minimum-maximum but never a final  price.

  3. If we do any works (including fault finding or cable location etc) then there is a charge and this is not included in free advice. Free advice is limited to general electrical safety recommendations individually to your needs helping you to improve the safety of your property/premises.

  4. Inspection and testing is included in every invoice as standard (unless specified before work starts) this is to ensure every circuit worked on complies with current regulations and is safe and fit for use. Sometimes followed with free  advice

  5. Inspection and testing is including (unless otherwise stated) in all jobs and full certification given (if applicable). Certificates are only issued when payment is received in full and all funds have cleared.

  6. It is the Clients responsibility to ensure permission, building warrants and authorization for any/all work is applied for before work commences (incl any costs incurred)

  7. 1 full month guarantee is included on all parts, and any material, plus 5 year guarantee on all workmanship (in accordance with NICEIC platinum promise, please visit www.niceic.com for more information)

 

Please note: This does not include access equipment or other trades in guarantee. Lamps, transformers, wear and tear and Client damage/misuse are not included under this clause and are chargeable. Any guarantee on jobs are only done by ourselves, other contractors services are not covered under this guarantee.

  1. As time/date(s) slot are only agreed when the initial deposit is paid which is a sum of £100.00. A contract is only formed after the initial deposit is received, at that time the dates for commencement of works to start will be arranged, no initial payment/deposit means there is no guaranteed start date for work to commence. If work is cancelled without 5 days working notice the initial deposit is non-refundable. More than 5 days prior notice the initial deposit is fully refundable (less the 2.5% card charge, if applies) as long as no material has been ordered. (Small jobs normally have no deposit required and can be cancelled at no cost to either party) unless again material has been ordered or work has already started. Returned materials can have a wholesaler restocking charge.

  2. In the event that you need to cancel or postpone our services when we are already on your site Davis Electrical reserve the right to bill you (the Client) the full quoted amount

  3. Emergency call out charge and hourly rate will be explained over the phone. This will vary from job to job and part-payment is collected by credit /debit card before en route to your job and invoice settled in either cash or bank transfer when leaving the property regardless if a return visit required. Return visit(s) are invoiced separately at normally day rates/costs.

  4. Normal working hours at single time are 8am-4:30pm or 9am-5:30pm,, Monday - Friday, Excluding bank holidays, Out of the above hours are charged at a higher labour charge.

  5. In the unlikely event of any unacceptable behavior towards any employees of Davis Electrical by the client, their tenants, or other trades professionals, The company reserve the right at its discretion to remove any or all employees from your work site on a permanent basis without prior notice with full quoted amount still owing to the company

 

Installation Work Terms And Conditions

  1. All electrical installation work will comply with BS7671: 2018 and any amendments in force at the time of the works

  2. All electrical installation work will comply with the applicable building regulations in force at the time of the works

  3. Where work is to extend or modify existing circuits, costs estimated assume that the existing installation is in adequate condition and complies with the minimum current regulations. Any works found required to bring the necessary parts of the existing installation up to standard will be at additional cost

  4. Where carpet of floor coverings may require lifting to allow concealed installation work, no charges are made for this service, with best endeavours being made to avoid damaging them and to refit them to an acceptable standard. However, consideration of employing a specialist fitter may be prudent, at your cost to effect a fully satisfactory  reinstatement

  5. When installing a modern consumer unit into an existing installation, any faults that were previously undetected by older technology can show up. In these cases, there maybe extra charges incurred in the rectification of these faults

 

Payment Terms And Conditions

A1) Upon accepting the quote an up front deposit of £100 is to be paid, This is then followed by a further 50% of quote amount on completion of halfway point/first fix of installation minus the deposit, followed by the final 50% of quote amount on completion of works stated

A2) Any equipment/services requiring hiring, ie access equipment, other tradesmen (subcontractors, ie plumber/builder/carpet fitter/decorator etc) or any other large cost without our control will be paid for in advance by yourself the customer (or bill payer) in full before the 1st day of work direct or via ourselves to the subcontractor(s).

A3) On completion of all works any remaining invoices MUST be satisfied in FULL as soon as possible but no longer then 7 days from final invoice date, There may be a daily interest applied to any long term outstanding debts until payment is cleared in full.

A4)Only one reminder is posted as an overdue reminder, this has the 10% added interest fee,

A5) Failure to settle account within one calendar month of invoice date will automatically start legal claims proceedings at the FULL rate of invoice plus all legal costs will be added ADDITIONAL to the invoice amount

A6) Duplicate certificates are charged at a minimum of £15 per A4 sheet.

 

Exclusions

Any deep clearing and/or moving furniture and other items blocking assess to work areas are not included in this quote and can occur additional cost(s) All re-decoration and final making good works is excluded from a quote unless specifically detailed as included

 

Extras and Variations

 

All extras and variations must be agreed in writing prior to commencement

Davis Electrical reserves the right to change its terms and conditions at any time, only in writing if a current contract is already started.

 

Quotes are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of quote
